Our mission and Mandate of CARE AID is to help people, families, and communities in areas most hit by crisis in Nigeria and around the world.
CCCM
Our camp management programmes seek to ensure the protection of displaced populations and of their rights, to promote their participation, self-sufficiency and dignity, and to ensure provision of assistance and access to services.
Livelihoods and food security
Every person has the right to a standard of living adequate for his or her health and wellbeing. This includes the right to food and livelihood protection.
Shelter/NFI
Losing one’s home and community is devastating. Shelter and settlements support is the foundation of humanitarian assistance for people who have been displaced. Providing a safe place for families and communities to call "home" can be life-saving.
Strengthening protection
Protection is about safety, dignity, and rights. It is about people being safe from the harm or abuse others might cause them when armed conflict or disaster leaves them vulnerable.
Collaborative and Resilient Ecosystem Management
Human activities that adversely affect ecosystem resilience such as reduction of biodiversity, exploitation of natural resources, pollution, land use, and anthropogenic climate change are increasingly causing regime shifts in ecosystems, often to less desirable and degraded conditions.
Inclusive Economic Opportunities
Ensuring individuals have adequate skills and capacities to access available livelihood opportunities, and that markets are able to offer decent employment or self-employment opportunities for unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled individuals.
partners
CARE-AID implements more than 5 projects with the support of its partners.
